SELF-OFFICIATED WEDDING IN A PUBLIC PARK

Sarah and Geoff, both lawyers, returned to Sarah's hometown of Lancaster, PA for their wedding. Despite living in Brooklyn and Geoff being on assignment in Oklahoma, they managed to plan a beautiful ceremony in Buchanan Park. Their love for nature and community shone through as they chose an open park where anyone could witness their vows.

A week before the ceremony, their officiant contracted COVID, so Sarah and Geoff decided to officiate their own wedding. It turned out beautifully, with Geoff's declaration, "And now, I am going to kiss my wife," leaving a lasting impression.

Sarah, with help from friends and family, created stunning bouquets which guests later took home as keepsakes.

The reception at Lancaster Arts Hotel and John J. Jeffries Restaurant, where Sarah once worked, featured a cocktail hour on the patio and heartfelt speeches. After a delicious meal, Sarah and Geoff shared their first dance under a wisteria-covered pergola, serenaded by Central City Orchestra. The band kept everyone dancing all night, making it a night to remember.
