...for your own Hallmark movie moment!
There's something so magical about a dark, wintery night with dreams of a snowfall for a wedding. Did you always know you wanted to get married in the winter? Even if you hadn't, these beautiful winter weddings may be just the thing to inspire you to consider it.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
Whichever holiday you celebrate during this time of year, a tree with lights still sparks joy. Lit up with hundreds of lights, decorated trees release our inner child, spark imagination, and are so timeless. Ask your venue what their typical decor looks like at the holidays and if they are able to share some pictures with you. You may be able to lean onto what they already provide and set up instead of bringing in yourself!
PRO TIP: If you do need/want to bring in your own trees, opt for artificial from a production company for this. They'll be symmetrical, well-balanced, and bug-free!
Get your taste buds dancing like Sugar Plums
Festive drinks are a great way to lean into the holiday season and show off some of your personality! Are you traditional, but a little quirky? A Peppermint White Russian! Or have a sweet with a dark side? A Spiked Hot Cocoa with Bailey's sounds right up your alley. Or, a Cranberry Rosemary Mocktail, perhaps? Have fun with your beverage menu, the sky's the limit!
Deck the Aisle
Normally, I'm not a huge fan of favors, but it's the season for giving! For a fun 'gift' for your friends and family, consider passing out custom ornaments for them to remember this celebratory time, or have them create one for you!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
What's a winter wedding without a little snow? Since you can never predict the weather, maybe we take this one into our own hands and get a snow machine? It's the perfect sendoff that will reignite joy in all your guests.
Let there be light!
Hanging twinkle lights at any wedding is always a nice touch, but during the holiday season? Muah! Chef's kiss! It'll feel as though you and your party are truly dancing under the stars, especially since it'll be so dark, so early for those winter month celebrations.
Rocking Around in Red and Green
It's classic. It's timeless. It's giving winter wedding.
You can never go wrong utilizing fresh pine garlands and wreaths. Long guest tables are perfect for incorporating those garlands. Maybe they're repurposed from your ceremony aisle, and with all the candlelight it'll feel like the perfect backdrop from a Hallmark movie!
PRO TIP: If you're not that big a fan of the contrast red and green, ask your floral designer to incorporate some soft pinks and a variety of greenery like lamb's ear and seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus.
